Job Description

This is not a pure UI role. We are not looking for someone to produce screens or polish interfaces. We are looking for a designer who can translate complex financial and on-chain workflows into experiences that institutional and qualified investors trust, navigate, and rely on. You will shape how our products behave, not just how they look. You will work directly with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and the Business team. You should be comfortable operating without perfectly defined requirements and helping structure product direction alongside Product and Engineering. We are specifically looking for people who have built and shipped products inside product companies, not agency or consulting environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the user experience end-to-end:

  Map investor journeys — KYC, subscription, stablecoin settlement, signing flows, on-chain settlement, secondary market — and identify where users hesitate, lose confidence, or create operational risk. Redesign accordingly

• Build the systems, not just the deliverables:

  Establish design operations at STOKR: discovery habits, workflow standards, usability practices, handoff norms, reusable patterns. The foundations that let the team move faster without losing clarity or trust.

• Make complex financial flows feel understandable:

  Translate the regulatory and operational constraints of digital securities, custody, and on- chain settlement into experiences that are transparent and trustworthy — never confusing or obstructive.

• Work directly with Engineering and Product:

  Shape features from the start. Discuss tradeoffs, settlement behaviour, edge cases, and failure states as fluently as you discuss user needs.

• Stay close to the people closest to our users:

  Our Business team maintains direct relationships with issuers and investors. Work with them to validate designs against real client behaviour and translate those signals into product decisions.

• Use AI as part of how you work:

  Use Claude, Cursor, and Figma AI to prototype faster, explore flow variations, and compress the distance from concept to implementation.

• Talk to users and iterate quickly:

  Run usability sessions, identify friction points, and feed findings directly back into the product cycle.

Your Profile

• Deep familiarity with digital asset products — wallets, exchanges, stablecoin flows, digital securities platforms. You know where users lose confidence and why.
• Proven track record shipping digital products in-house at a product company — Not consulting — ownership. You have lived with the consequences of your design decisions.
• You think in flows and systems before screens — Your portfolio shows how things work, not just how they look

• You have built internal design systems, research habits, or component libraries that others actually used.
• You use AI tools as a real part of your workflow — they make you faster and clearer
• Strong UX and interaction design skills — Craft matters.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and cross-functional collaboration in English.

Nice to have:

• Background in fintech, payments, or regulated capital markets.
• Experience building a design system or component library from zero.
• Comfortable working close to implementation — HTML, CSS, or JS.
• A portfolio that includes prototypes, interactive demos, or working flows, not just static screens.
