Just Launched: Infinite Fleet’s STO on STOKR - Led by US$1M Investment from Tether International Limited

2021 started with some exciting news. Online strategy game, Infinite Fleet, has just launched the public round of their security token offering (STO) on STOKR, for selected countries. Infinite Fleet has already raised US$3.1M in the private round, backed by some big players in the blockchain sphere - such as Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, Blockstream CEO Adam Back, Heisenberg Capital founder Max Keiser, and more.
Firstly, what is Infinite Fleet? Infinite Fleet is an exciting, sci-fi Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) strategy game that is being developed by an all-star team of veteran game developers, who have also worked on famous titles such as Age of Empires 4 and Homeworld. The creator of Infinite Fleet is Blockstream CSO and well-known tech visionary, Samson Mow. The public offering is available via STOKR - an innovative STO platform, which allows forward-thinking companies to get access to funding and connect with smart investors.
The timing of this STO is interesting because MMO gaming is a massive sector with global revenues of over $25B (according to 2017 data), and is only getting bigger year-on-year. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more obvious that increasingly larger parts of people’s lives will move online - whether it’s entertainment, remote work, or the gig economy.
The Infinite Fleet security tokens, EXOeu, are registered securities, issued by Exordium (Lux) S.C.S, a Luxembourg-based entity. The tokens represent a proportional right to the company’s profit, and are issued with the price of $0.50 USD per EXOeu. Participating in the STO gives investors financial participation in future profits. The investment round has been led by Tether International Limited - the largest stablecoin issuer in the world. Tether International has invested US$1 million in EXOeu tokens.
The EXOeu tokens will be the first security tokens on STOKR which are issued via Blockstream AMP, based on the Liquid sidechain of Bitcoin. This helps pave the way for even more confidential transactions in the STO market. The funding model provided allows for the democratization of venture capital access to the general public. Based on the commitment of accessibility of investment opportunities in early-stage ventures, investors are able to invest directly through STOKR’s platform using various currencies, such as the euro (EUR), bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDt), starting from as little as US$100.
The team behind Infinite Fleet hails from Ubisoft, Relic, Sega, Nintendo, and more, with a track record of shipping successful products grossing over $1 billion – acclaimed AAA titles like “Dawn of War,” “Company of Heroes,” “Homeworld,” and top 25 ranking Facebook games like “The Smurfs & Co.” Furthermore, the team’s connections to the blockchain industry via companies like BTCC and Blockstream puts it in a prime position to connect gaming with cryptoassets. The game’s closed alpha is expected to be released in the upcoming weeks. So keep your eyes peeled.
