Greetings everyone! Welcome back to another STOKR update of 2024.
We've been busy building awesome new features to make investing in digital securities assets easy, smooth and more secure. Let’s dive into it.
Enabling login 2FA
STOKR is elevating user protection by implementing two-factor authentication(2FA)! Now, your login process will require not just your password but also a unique code generated by an authenticator app on your phone. This advancement in security is much more robust than traditional SMS-based 2FA, as it mitigates risks like SIM swap attacks and ensures that the codes remain confined to your device, enhancing their confidentiality.
As STOKR prepares for a substantial BTC payout in 2024, introducing this two-factor authentication is a pivotal initial move toward securing your STOKR account.
We recommend setting up this toggle bar to green and proceed with setting up the 2FA. Once it's active you will require 2FA code every time you log in to your STOKR account.
Firebase migration
To achieve 2 factor authentication and other extensibility with the authentication, we have migrated from an internal authentication service to firebase. The migration went smoothly and the only impact for users is that they don’t enter their username while signing up. By default, their username is empty and users can add it on their profile and privacy page.
The investor dashboard has been added to the navigation bar.
User feedback has highlighted challenges in accessing the investor dashboard. In response, we are introducing a one-click button that allows you to enter your dashboard from any STOKR page once logged in.
On the venture side, new investor register
We've introduced a new function ventures administrators, allowing the selection of specific date snapshots of the investor register. This update is designed to give ventures administrators more control and insight, tailoring the team to meet your specific compliance or regulatory needs.
Now, venture administrators also have access to enriched information, including details on transferees, transferors, and balance after movement. Moreover, we've expanded the download options for the register. Beyond PDF, you can now export data in CSV format, providing versatility in how you handle your information.
New payment provider: Mangopay
STOKR has migrated to a new payment provider MangoPay. This change of partner does not impact your users who can still invest using fiat currencies.
Improved audit track
We have improved the audit track for all checkboxes. Every time a user (be it an investor or a venture administrator) gives an explicit consent or agrees to a statement a full audit trail is kept and timestamped in the database . All the versions of these checkboxes are kept using our internal versioning management system that allows easy filters and searches.
These audit trails serve a crucial role in fulfilling the legal and regulatory obligations of the digital securities issuer, providing valuable documentation and transparency.
